Join the Inner-City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA) and members of the Angel City Chorale and other prominent Southern California choirs for a free concert to benefit those displaced by wildfires at 4 p.m., Sunday February 2, at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena.
“We know of no better way to support our family, friends and neighbors who have suffered tremendous losses than with a concert of hope and compassion,” said ICYOLA Founder and Conductor Charles Dickerson. “Our purpose is two-fold: to be a vehicle for healing and solace for them and our entire Los Angeles Community but also to provide tangible, urgent financial support to those who needs are immediate.”
Funds raised during this event will directly support individuals and families who have been displaced by wildfires. Contributions will be managed by the California Community Foundation, which supports communities in crisis through long-term recovery, and maintains a special focus on aiding underserved communities.
Event co-sponsors include: KBLA 1580 AM, KTLA5, the Empowerment Congress, LA Focus, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Los Angeles and the YMCA.
