Our Weekly is committed to making our journalism and digital services accessible to people with disabilities. We want everyone in Los Angeles, the Antelope Valley, and the communities we serve to be able to access our reporting and participate in our work.

Our accessibility goal

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Current accessibility status

Our Weekly’s website has not yet undergone a comprehensive accessibility evaluation. Its conformance level has therefore not been determined, and we do not claim full conformance.

Our improvement plan

We will work with our website provider and editorial staff to evaluate accessibility, document identified barriers, and prioritize repairs that affect access to news and essential website functions. Our priorities include meaningful image descriptions, accessible navigation and forms, readable text, and accessible multimedia and documents.

We will update this statement as testing and improvements progress.

Request assistance or report a barrier

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of our website, please email Info@ourweekly.com with “Website Accessibility” in the subject line.

Please include the page address, a description of the difficulty, and your preferred way for us to respond. You may also identify your browser or assistive technology if you wish. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or medical information.

You may use the same email address to request an accessible alternative to content you cannot use. We will work with you to identify an effective way to provide the information.
