As SoCal enters its recovery phase in areas affected by the wildfires, many businesses are supporting relief efforts in various ways. Mission Cocktails is a business built off giving back. Amit & Marcin, co-founders, met at a charity event, signaling the beginning of a prosperous friendship and business relationship.

” We really didn’t talk much at the charity event, but we did see each other a few days later, crossing paths while walking our dogs, and we both recognized each other from the event,” Amit said on how they met. ” Our friendship started organically, with walking our dogs together to walking our dogs with cocktails in our hands, then we introduced our families to each other, and eventually our lives were connected.”

Once the COVID pandemic happened, Amit and Marcin were stuck in their respective houses bored and came up with the idea of learning how to create their cocktails from scratch by watching YouTube videos. ” The only thing that came from that experience was that we were better off buying them than trying to make our own, plus our wives wanted us out of their kitchen due to all the messes we made,” Amit said. He continued stating they pivoted to buying pre-made cocktails, which also tasted bad but saved them from messing up the kitchen, but that still didn’t satisfy their carvings.

Eventually, after trying out over 100 different pre-made cocktails, the duo decided to take their passion for cocktails and experience in entrepreneurship to create Mission Craft Cocktails, where the mission is to give back 5 percent of all revenue back to the community to show appreciation for the support. At the time of this article, Mission Cocktails has funded over 100,000 meals to food banks across SoCal.

” It’s been incredible to witness and experience the progression we have made in two years,” Amit said. ” We don’t come from the alcohol space, so it took us a long time to craft and develop cocktails, drinkable and naturally made.” Mission Cocktails has 7 different cocktails, MAI TAI, MARGARITA, COSMOPOLITAN, JALAPEÑO PINEAPPLE MARGARITA, OLD FASHIONED, MANHATTAN, and ESPRESSO MARTINI.

Mission Cocktails is available at Whole Foods, Pavillons, Bevmo, Total Wine, and their website at www.MissionCocktails.com. Also, Amit and Marcin will donate 5 percent of January’s total revenue to victims of the  Palisades and Eaton Canyon fires.
