This winter, participate in the Winter Coat Drive to bring warmth to the Lancaster community’s hands and hearts. The City of Lancaster, in partnership with the Lancaster School District (LSD), will again provide this opportunity to give back and offer some comfort to families during the upcoming winter season.
“As we head into the colder months, the coat drive is a vital way for us to support those in need,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “I encourage everyone to contribute what they can. Let’s come together to ensure every child and adult in our community has the warmth they deserve.”
Donations of new or gently used coats and sweaters in children’s and adults’ sizes will be accepted until Nov. 1. You can drop off your donations at two convenient locations: City Hall and the Lancaster Community Center. Items will be accepted Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After collection, all donated coats will be professionally cleaned before being distributed at the Lancaster School District’s coat giveaway event on November 16. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community members in need.
