The Los Angeles County Public Health Department reported 112 new cases of COVID-19. There has been one new death among Blacks since last week. The total diagnosed Black cases are 201,878 with 3,352 deaths.
Access to updated free COVID-19 vaccines is designed to target strains circulating and causing most infections. The vaccine is recommended for residents 6 months and older. Anyone is eligible for a vaccine regardless of insurance and immigration status.
Free vaccines are available to uninsured and underinsured adults at many health care providers and health centers throughout California. Public Health offers free COVID-19 and flu vaccines through public health clinics, multi-service vaccination sites and mobile teams to ensure that the elderly, the disabled, and homeless persons all have easy access to vaccines.
