The Palmdale City Library is known for its wide collection of books and range of activities. One of the activities that it hosts is the popular “Books and Barks,” taking place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Aug. 27. The Palmdale City Library is located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd.
The event is designed for young children to read to dogs from the High Desert Obedience Club. The High Desert Obedience Club is an organization that offers training classes and clubs. Children will have an opportunity to closely interact with therapy dogs. “Books and Barks” is a great opportunity for children to practice their literacy skills. This event occurs every last Tuesday of the month and is open to children of reading age. The event is free and open to the public.
