The Black Family Reunion, presented by the National Council of Negro Women-Southern California Coalitioin (NCNW), will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 3720 W. 54th St in Los Angeles. The theme is “Family Power Unites Us.”
It will be a free day of family fun in a united cause to create memories and to learn more about the NCNW. The event will focus on economic empowerment, health equity, social justice, education and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). There will be food venders, entertainment, a health fair and voter registration.
“Black women are bringing together families in the community for a free day of fun and civic engagement,” said Amy Malone, a spokesperson for the event. “It is an opportunity to learn more about the NCNW, and meet some of its members while enjoying family fun in a safe environment.”
