Deputy involved shooting in Palmdale

A suspect was shot this week by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies in Palmdale.
Deputies were called at approximately 8:31 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue R, said sheriff’s homicide Lt. Michael Modica.
The suspect was struck by gunfire and taken to a hospital in an unknown condition, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. No deputies were injured during the shooting.
