On June 8 and 9
If you’re looking for an educational and sophisticated way to spend your weekend, AV Winery has the event for you. On Saturday, June 8 at 1 and 3 p.m., the winery will host a behind-the-scenes wine tour and tasting experience. Another tour and tasting takes place on Sunday, June 9, at 1 p.m. The Antelope Valley Winery is located at 42041 20th Street West, in Lancaster. Tickets are $27 each.
The tour and tasting will offer an opportunity to sample seven award-winning hand-harvested reserves and select wines from the AV Winery. Guests can select wines from the barrel, bottle or spout with a head winemaker as he reveals wine history and teaches the “seven tips” for wine tasting. Guests can upgrade their tour and tasting experience by adding a charcuterie board. Between tastings, guests can walk the grounds, tour the wine facility and learn about the wine-making process from the grape to the glass.
