Niecy Nash-Betts at WGA Awards

Will host ceremony on April 14

Actress/producer Niecy Nash-Betts will host the 2024 Writers Guild of America Awards show in Los Angeles.

“I’m so excited to host this year’s Writers Guild Awards,” Nash-Betts said in a statement. “A good writer is an actor’s greatest gift. Can’t wait to celebrate their accomplishments.”

The ceremony will be held April 14 at the Hollywood Palladium, with a concurrent event held in New York.

“Niecy Nash-Betts is the dream host for this year’s WGA Awards,” ceremony executive producer and “Saturday Night Live” writer Hugh Fink said in a statement. “Her brilliant performance in ‘Dahmer’ as the courageous woman who helped take down a serial killer who ate his victims is surprisingly a lot like negotiating with the AMPTP.”

The WGA also announced Thursday a list of scheduled presenters for the ceremony. Set to take part in the event are Bill Burr, Diedrich Bader, Drew Carey, Gina Yashere, Lindsay Dougherty, Maria Sten, Nathan Fielder, Randall Park, Tig Notaro, Tony Hale and Wendi McLendon-Covey.
