Football teams take L

This past Sunday was a bad day to be a California football fan. The Los Angeles Rams took a 23-point beating from the Dallas Cowboys, with the score ending in a 43-20 loss. To make matters worse, starting Quarterback Matthew Stafford was knocked out of the second half of the game with a thumb injury sustained on the two-point conversion in the first half. The severity of the injury is unknown, but it is his throwing hand and will either limit him or have him missing next week's game against the Green Bay Packers.

The San Francisco 49ers have cooled off in recent weeks after starting the season 5-0; they have dropped their last three, including a loss to a resurging Bengals team. While they escaped the game without physical injuries, many wonder if they're dialed in or if the loss from the Cleveland Browns began the unraveling of many people's Superbowl favorites. With a bye this week, they will have a lot of time to fix whatever issues are ailing them.
