Local music phenom 310babii has just been added to the South L.A. Classic performances which pay homage to West Coast Hip Hop as part of a Tribute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop.  The incredible lineup already features multi-platinum artists, Xzibit and G-Funk pioneer, Warren G.

310babii, a Los Angeles based artist, whose debut song, “Soak City (Do It)”, has gone viral on social media as tens of thousands of user generated videos are posting their “Soak City Dance” videos on TikTok, Instagram and Youtube.  In a statement from George L. Pla, president of the Coliseum Commission: “We are doing this for the student athletes, giving most students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play and perform in a historical venue in front of hundreds of their friends, family, and fans.”

The South LA Classic returns High School football to the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum following last year’s East L.A. Classic, which featured global music sensation, Will i Am, at halftime.  This Friday, October 27, 2023 at 7:30pm, King/Drew High School Golden Eagles will host the Dorsey High School Dons in a matchup of two Los Angeles City Section rivals.  A Junior Varsity game will be played at 4:00 PM followed by a 6:00 PM pre-game Senior Night celebration honoring both school's Senior class featuring musical performances by bands, dance and cheer teams.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Ticketmaster.com

A playoff berth is at stake, as both teams are locked in a three-way tie for first place in the Coliseum League.  Along with Crenshaw High, each team is 3-1 in league play. This past Friday night’s results set the table for the Los Angeles City Section clash.  The Dorsey Dons defeated Dymally High 30-14 and King/Drew extended a 3-game winning streak after a shutout of Fremont High 32-0.  Both teams are looking to finish the season strong, as invitations to the playoffs will take place based on outcomes.
