Rams trade rumors

RB may be on the move

With the loss this Sunday, it seems like the Rams are making changes to a position group in the coming weeks before the trade deadline is over. It was reported, by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport before Sunday's matchup with in-state rivals San Fransico 49ers that running back Cam Akers was on the trading block, and the head coach supported that by making Akers a healthy scratch for the game.

"Coach's decision felt like that was best for our football team," Rams head coach Sean McVay said after Sunday's game. "Felt like Kyren gave us the best opportunity and what Ronnie (Rivers) and Royce (Freeman) had done, so that was the decision that I made."

It does seem like a disappointment to fans and Rams staff, as many people had high hopes for Akers's return to form after being a year removed from his ACL tear. But with a slow week one start, the Rams want to cut ties sooner than later. Akers was shocked once he heard the news of him being traded, “I’m just as confused as everybody else. I’m blessed though,” he said on a social media post.

Check back to see where Akers traded and thoughts on his possible new team.
