Take advantage of extra trash bags

Today is the final opportunity to schedule extra trash pickup as Waste Management (WM) will collect up to ten extra bags of trash on the regular trash day for customers living in Palmdale city limits. Customers will need to contact WM customer service at least 48 hours in advance of service day to schedule the extra bag pick-up. Call (661) 947-7197, use the MyWM app, or visit home.wm.com/palmdale. No household hazardous waste (HHW) or electronic waste (E-Waste) is accepted during these pick-ups.

Paint recycling, reuse and mural event

The City is partnering with PaintCare to host a paint recycling and reuse event where residents are encouraged to attend if they have paint that they need to dispose of or if they need paint. It is scheduled tomorrow, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmdale Transportation Center, 39000 Clock Tower Plaza Dr., where visitors can witness artist team AQMNI bring a waste minimization themed mural to life. AQMNI creates custom designed murals and art installations that accurately tell a story through bold, imaginative art. They will be on site on the day of the event creating a waste minimization mural. Stop by to drop off or pick up paint and check out AQMNI in action.
