Palmdale Regional Medical Center has again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification, officials announced.

Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients.

“Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification recognizes health care organizations committed to fostering continuous quality improvement in patient safety and quality of care,” said Mark Pelletier of The Joint Commission. “We commend Palmdale Regional Medical Center for using certification to reduce variation in its clinical processes and to strengthen its program structure and management framework for stroke patients.”

“We congratulate Palmdale Regional Medical Center for this outstanding achievement,” said Nancy Brown of the American Stroke Association. “This certification reflects its commitment to providing the highest quality of care for stroke patients.”

“We are very pleased to be recognized once again by The Joint Commission for demonstrating the greatest level of commitment to the care of stroke patients and receiving the Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers,” says Jody Pienta, program development director at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. “Our mission is to meet the needs of the community by providing the most compassionate, timely, and comprehensive patient-centered care.”
