Make A Move LA is collaborating with Fresh and Meaty Burgers for Make A Move Carson. The event will begin with chess player registration at 1 p.m. Oct. 29. Participant fee is $12. Attendance is free for the 2 to 5 p.m. event at Fresh and Meaty Burgers, 21780 Avalon Blvd. in Carson.
The event’s goal is to bridge communities together through chess and art. Make a Move LA is known for throwing electrifying chess tournaments in different neighborhoods by collaborating with different business establishments.
First place prize for the adult chess tournament is $200 and entry into the “Champion of Champions” Tournament, which has a $2,000 grand prize. There will be a free youth tournament and a backpack giveaway at the event. For registration and additional ticket information, visit eventbrite.com
