The City of Carson is looking for volunteers to assist the city in planning three major events for its upcoming 55th anniversary in 2023. Volunteers are sought to be a part of the subcommittee of their choice to plan the following events:
The 55th Anniversary Gala Ball is set for Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023; A street fair will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023; and the Tour De Carson will run on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023.
“My colleagues and I want to give the chance to our citizens to provide us with input. We do not want to exclude anyone that wants to take part in planning this historical celebration,” said Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes.
The first in-person meeting will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carson Event Center. Refreshments will be provided. Future meetings will be held every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Carson Event Center.
