Fresh off her Super Bowl halftime show appearance, superstar Mary J. Blige will be one of the Keynote speakers at this year’s California Conference for Women, a highlight of Women’s History Month. The virtual event, titled “Renew. Reconnect. Reignite.” is set for March 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the free virtual career fair will take place on Tuesday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Although she was the sole female featured in the recent halftime show, Blige was glad to stand alongside other hip hop legends sharing the stage, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

“I love the fact that I’m respected by my male peers like that, I’ve always been. I’ve never had a problem with any of my male peers,” she said. “And I actually have a lot of male fans too.”

Blige, a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, Oscar-nominated actress, producer and philanthropist, is designed to be a figure of inspiration, transformation and empowerment to conference attendees.

Other conference speakers include Brené Brown, researcher and storyteller; Andra Day, singer, songwriter, activist and actress; Dolores Huerta, president and founder of the Dolores Huerta Foundation; and Eva Longoria, actress, director, producer, entrepreneur and activist.

Tickets are $175 and include live virtual access to two keynote sessions and three breakout session tracks on leadership, personal development and career advancement. Attendees can also choose three out of nine 30-minute sessions on the event day, plus a live breakout Q&A with the speakers.

In addition, the exhibit hall, bookstore, author readings, networking chat rooms, facilitated networking sessions, mini learning sessions and, subject to availability, Resume Reviews, and 1:1 Career Coaching will be available.

Ticket holders will also have on-demand access to nine breakout sessions until March 31, so they may have time to watch any sessions missed on conference day.

The exhibit hall, mini learning sessions, author readings, network chat rooms, and the bookstore will also be available until March 31.

Facilitated networking is offered, where participants can join live small-group discussions led by top executives about powering your personal and professional growth. There will also be public chats, where visitors can share comments and find community during sessions, along with private and group messaging, where one can meet up with other attendees throughout the Conference.

Registration is also required for the event’s free virtual career fair on Tuesday, March 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is designed for professionals seeking job opportunities in IT, sales, marketing, engineering, finance, legal and more. Those interested in exploring flex, remote, in-person, and hybrid roles are also welcome.

The career fair includes a library of on-demand sessions, videos, and podcasts featuring local, regional, and national experts; “Ask the Recruiter” sessions offering live answers for your questions in real time; plus, go-to resources for help with job searches, resume refreshing, interview skills, and more.

Visit https://tinyurl.com/3x87j2wx to register. Participants need an email address; the URL for their LinkedIn profile; and an updated resume (optional, but encouraged; uploaded in pdf format during your profile setup and shared with employers who are recruiting.)

Attendees do not need to join the event for the full three hours. Organizers have designed this format to allow for ample time to visit with hiring recruiters, and were intentional about limiting scheduled live content/ensuring that the majority of content is on-demand. Participants also have the option to log out and log back into the Virtual Career Fair at any time during the three hours.

The event includes both on-camera and off-camera opportunities for interactions, so business casual dress is advised.
