Teams are being recruited for the inaugural Antelope Valley Hometown Heroes Softball Tournament that will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Best of the West Softball Complex, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. in Palmdale.

Teams may have at least 12 but no more than 15 players. Registration is $350 and may be paid with a check made out and mailed to: Help For Heroes, 104 East Ave K4 Suite B Lancaster, Calif., 93535,  or through Venmo at  HelpForHeroes@Helpforheroes.

The games will begin at 8 a.m. with the championship game taking place at 6 p.m.

“We are calling all local first responders, active military, veterans, and essential workers to form a team and determine who can bring their best game,” said event organizer Christian Scott.
