Authorities have identified a 62-year-old woman who was killed when her car crashed head-on into an SUV in Palmdale.
The crash occurred about 5:50 p.m. March 4 in the 2200 block of West Elizabeth Lake Road, said Lt. Anthony Gunn of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
Eva McCormick of Palmdale died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
McCormick was driving a white Acura westbound at a high rate of speed when she “lost control, crossed over the center divider and struck an eastbound vehicle,’’ Gunn said.
An 18-year-old man driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban was critically injured. His two passengers also were hurt.
