Enjoy ‘Minions’ during movie night


Those mischievous “Minions” known for their madcap monkeyshines will conclude Family Movie Nights this evening at the Palmdale Amphitheater. The film is scheduled to begin at dusk.

Starring the voices of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and  Steve Carell, “Minions” tells the tale of super-villain Scarlet Overkill who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world, with Minions recruits Stuart, Kevin and Bob. The film is rated PG. Free kids activities will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. (while supplies last) and costumes and impromptu dance parties are encouraged.

Admission is $4 with children under 12 years (admitted only with a parent or adult guardian) for free. Bags and coolers will be inspected at the gate; alcohol and pets are prohibited. Snack vendors will be on-site and is it recommended you bring along a lawn chair or blanket.
