The Baldwin Hills Recreation Center, 5401 Highlight Pl., L.A., will host its “Play Catch with Me” event at 6 p.m. tomorrow night; the opening night for the center’s co-ed baseball season. The event will be held at the Baldwin Hills Baseball field.

The theme of this year’s baseball season revolves around “Bonding Through the Game of Baseball” and will allow each child who participates to choose one special person to spend time with playing the game of baseball. Complimentary keepsake baseballs will be provided to the adults chosen to be the guests.

The goal of this program is to build the sense of family and community in the area, while providing positive examples for the youth involved with the program. There is a team parade scheduled, as well as free food for the youth players, face-painting, moon bouncers and live music.

The Park Advisory Board will sell fish dinners for  $7 in efforts to raise funds for a new scoreboard.

For more information on the event, call the Baldwin Hills Recreation Center at (323) 934-0746.
