Baby boy born 11 minutes after 11 a.m.

MISSION HILLS, Calif.–It was all things 11-11 today at a Mission Hills hospital as a baby boy was delivered at 11 minutes after 11 a.m. on 11/11/11, and officials said the delivery even took place in room 1111.

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, in a statement from spokesperson Patricia Aidem, said the 9-pound, 4-ounce baby boy was named Alexander David Hockaday Ruiz. He measured 21 inches at birth and he is the fifth child of Angela Hockaday.

Room 1111 is in the hospital’s new Women’s Pavilion.

The medical center planned an afternoon news conference to introduce the child. In addition to the baby and family members, Dr. Farid Yasharpour, identified as from obstetrics and gynecology, and labor and delivery nurses from the birth are expected to attend the media briefing.
