The city of Palmdale and the Housing Rights Center will host a free walk-in housing rights clinic on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 1-4 p.m. at Palmdale City Hall, 38250 Sierra Highway. Housing rights clinics are held on the third Thursday of every month in Palmdale and provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions and receive answers about fair housing, rent increases, repairs and more.

Bicyclist hit by truck dies at scene
A bicyclist was hit by a truck Wednesday in Santa Clarita and died at the scene. The man, estimated to be between 38 and 45 years of age, was struck shortly before 8 a.m. near Magic Mountain Parkway and Railroad Avenue, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said. The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of his family.
