Jason Hill has been in the construction industry for 26 years. “I saw the condition of South Los Angeles deteriorate because of the lack of good jobs. I was looking for a place to do something about it, so I came to the Black Workers Center,” he says. He became a member in 2011.

Organizations want to ensure that Blacks get work on Crenshaw/LAX Line
The Black Workers Center and Young Black Contractors Association are two local organizations that are passionate about ensuring that Black construction workers are included in the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor project, which will reportedly create 3,000 jobs for South L.A. residents.
