Rain or Shine. Join Community Build, Inc. and area leaders tomorrow, Wednesday
March 12, 2025 at 9:00am for an incredibly uplifting event to “load and send-off” a
tractor-trailer full of furniture being donated to wildfire victims from Lily Jack Furniture
and a Child’s Dream Foundation.

Members of Teamsters Local 848 and Teamsters Joint Council 42 along with members
of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) will load-up the legendary International
Brotherhood of Teamsters 65’ tractor trailer with a full shipment of donated furniture.
The furniture will move to a facility managed by Community Build and will be the
staging for the distribution to families impacted by the loss of their homes, particularly
in Altadena and Pasadena.

The event will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, March 12th at 9:00 AM at Lily Jack
Furniture, 1030 West Hillcrest Blvd., Inglewood, CA 90301. Free parking, coffee and
refreshments will be provided on site.

In January, Southern California suffered devastating wildfires. Families throughout Los
Angeles County had their lives upended in tragic fashion. Lives were lost, homes were
destroyed and now the community is turning out to assist families as they rebuild.
Community Build, Inc. was founded in the wake of Los Angeles’ 1992 Civil Unrest as an
organization dedicated to rebuilding South Los Angeles and providing resources and
services, particularly families with children. Community Build has joined with over
twenty organizations to provide coordinated relief to the impacted communities.
