Pedro Pascal, Lisa Kudrow, Idris Elba, Kate Hudson, Linkin Park, Cheech and Chong and Jo Koy are among the entertainment professionals who will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as members of the Class of 2027.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce unveiled the honorees during a news conference Thursday at Funko Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. Actress Ming-Na Wen, known for her roles in “The Joy Luck Club,” Disney’s “Mulan” and the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” announced the motion picture and television categories.
Recording artist Sheila E. introduced the recording category before Chamber President and CEO Ron Frierson announced the remaining honorees. The Walk of Fame Selection Committee chose the recipients from hundreds of nominations, and the selections were ratified Wednesday by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, organizers said.
Motion picture honorees are Cheech and Chong, Idris Elba, Sam Elliott, Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning, Kate Hudson, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell and Ted Sarandos. The Fannings will become the first sister duo to receive a double star ceremony.
Television honorees are David Alan Grier, Lisa Kudrow, Bill Lawrence, Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, Jeff Probst, Keke Palmer and Raven-Symoné. Recording honorees are Karol G, David Guetta, Waylon Jennings (posthumously), the Ramones, Grandmaster Flash, Mark Shaiman, Sia, the Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park and Lil Wayne.
Live Theatre/Live Performance honorees are Jo Koy, Nicole Scherzinger and Roberto Bolle. Former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson was selected in the Sports Entertainment category, while Charlamagne tha God will receive a star in the Radio category.
“The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is proud to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of the most enduring symbols of achievement in entertainment,” Walk of Fame Selection Chairman Peter Roth said in a statement.
“These extraordinary individuals have each made a lasting impact on audiences around
the world through their talent, creativity and dedication to their craft. We are honored to recognize their remarkable contributions and look forward to celebrating them as they take their place in Hollywood history.”
Dates for the star ceremonies have not yet been announced. Recipients have two years to schedule their ceremonies before their selections expire.
