Oh boy, the audacity of someone who knows what he doesn’t know, and so he has maximized the criminality he does know. The current U.S. president, Donald Trump, by all accounts of plenty of smart people, is not a particularly smart man. He is, however, a very good pitchman, particularly for himself and his family members.

He is famous for saying audacious things in public and not only rarely getting punished for such outbursts, but frequently finding soft landings and personal benefit.

He also apparently sees himself as a suave master criminal who cannot be touched, only admired. He now has his new acting attorney general (who still has to be approved by the Senate) testing the limits of American law by trying to pull off a self-dealing escapade that will not only reward himself at public expense, but also enrich his “pals” from the 2021 assault against the Capital Building.

This is a very bad example for youth growing up in this country doing this time. Mr. Trump is a neon sign saying “crime does indeed pay” when you are the “boss.”

Mr. Trump, as POTUS, had the acting attorney general file a bogus lawsuit against the U.S. government — the IRS, to be exact. That means the U.S. government was suing itself. Then, he had the government drop the suit and offer to create a $1.8 billion dollar “slush fund” from taxpayer funds coming into the government that he can use to pay out to anyone who requests funding (like his buddies who assaulted the U.S. Capital in 2021). In other words, he had the U.S. government sue itself and create a “slush fund” to pay off any claimants for that money.

In American jurisprudence, usually a person suing someone has to demonstrate that he or she was harmed in some specific way in order to prevail in a lawsuit. Mr. Trump does not bother with that essential ingredient. He did have to undergo a regular tax audit, as any American citizen may have to endure, and he has used that pretext to sue the U.S. government and to create a large trust fund to pay himself back for the expenses he incurred and beyond.

The lawsuit in essence is as bogus as one of Mr. Trump’s new American gold coins with his picture on it. Mr. Trump now appears to have given up even trying to hide his perfidy. “I’m bad ! I’m bad ! You know it, I’m bad !” So what?
