Tone Stith blessed his fans with a Valentine’s show as he officially announced a return to the music scene. During the show, Sith performed songs from his project P.O.V. and his latest release, FLY, which has garnered fans’ attention as they wonder what kind of music they will hear from him in the future.
“I teased this song back in November on social media, and people were begging for me to release it, but I was still iffy on it,” Stith said during the show before performing FLY. “If it wasn’t for my drummer, I would probably still kept it in the tuck, but I’m glad I trust the ones around me, and now we’re flying, baby.”
It’s been almost three years since Stith released a project, and he has sparingly released singles over that same time span. Many fans worried why, and during an interview with Our Weekly, he explained. “Yeah, the last few years have been a lot for me, honestly, honestly. Many people close to me passed away, and that was a lot to deal with; life was testing my resolve,” Stith said. “I also left my label, RCA, so with my personal and business life going through transition, I had to take time to gather myself and plot my next course.”
Stith entered the music scene in 2015, writing for heavyweights like Chris Brown (“Liquor,” “Make Love,” “Undecided”), H.E.R., and others. He has also collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign, Quavo, Swae Lee, Maeta, Jeremih, and more, crafting hypnotic grooves on standout projects like “Can We Talk,” “FWM,” and “Still FWM.”
I’m ready to get back out there and start releasing music again. Seeing the way the crowd reacted to the new songs was pleasing to my soul.” Stith performed two songs off his upcoming debut project, ‘The Edge.’ “This album lets me showcase the full capacity of my artistry, something that has been lacking due to external reasons. Fans will experience every facet of me and see the true Tone Sith.”
While Stith couldn’t share a release date, he did say that fans won’t have to wait long for an announcement or new music, and he’s working overtime to make sure his supporters feel appreciated for their patience.
