A 19-year-old female passenger who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster was identified on Tuesday. The crash occurred at 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of Avenue J and 27th Street East, according to Detective Jorge Diaz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station. A northbound gray sedan driven by another woman on 27th Street East struck an eastbound green minivan while making a turn west onto Avenue J, Diaz said.
Her passenger suffered major trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics. She was later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Ruby Herrera Gomez.
