Share your thoughts Lancaster SR-14 work

As road work on the SR-14 corridor continues in the Antelope Valley, Metro, in partnership with Caltrans and the North Los Angeles County Transportation Coalition (NCTC), is providing residents with the opportunity to share thoughts on the improvement project. Residents are invited to attend a public scoping meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lancaster City Hall to provide invaluable input as the project moves forward. Lancaster City Hall is located at 44933 Fern Ave.
“Our community deserves to have a voice in how this vital project impacts our daily lives, and this meeting is a chance for residents to shape the future of the SR-14 corridor,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “These improvements are crucial, but they must be done with our community’s needs in mind. I encourage everyone to take part in this important conversation so that together, we can ensure a safer, more efficient roadway that benefits us all.”
The SR-14 corridor between the I-5 and Pearblossom Highway experiences collision rates higher than the statewide average along with unreliable travel times for this lifeline route in north Los Angeles County. These scoping meetings offer stakeholders a chance to provide public comments that will help guide the project team in addressing concerns through the development of the project.
“We’ve seen firsthand the frustrations caused by roadwork on the SR-14, and this is the moment for our residents to step up and make their voices heard. By attending this meeting, our community has the opportunity to influence the project and ensure that future disruptions are minimized and handled with transparency,” said Lancaster Vice Mayor Marvin E. Crist. “We’re not just bystanders; we have the power to shape how these improvements are made.”
