Black and African communities are both worthy of recognition and praise. Although opportunities to celebrate contributions to both communities do not always abound, there are select individuals worthy of recognition, such as Dr. Nathalie Beasnael. Dr. Beasnael is an entrepreneur, humanitarian, philanthropist and founder of a nonprofit organization, Health4Peace.
Dr. Beasnael has been a long-time advocate for the African community and is set to co-host the HAPAwards, an event that will honor American and African community leaders, international political figures, dignitaries, celebrities and stars and unite the Hollywood and African music, film and comedy industries. The HAPAwards are scheduled to take place on Oct. 27, Wilshire Ebell Theater, 4401 W. 8th St., in Los Angeles
Dr. Beasnael’s personal interests include fashion, cosmetics and philanthropy and her work as a humanitarian, Dr. Beasnael is especially passionate about her nonprofit organization Health4Peace, a nonprofit organization committed to supplying rural countries with necessary medical supplies. She says of her nonprofit, “Most people think when you have to help a nonprofit, it’s monetary. But for me, I need a team. I need people to be aware of the issues going on back home. Information is power. Knowledge is power. Anything and everything matters.” She first realized a need after finding that many women miscarry children while waiting 24 hours for medical assistance. Some of the supplies that have been donated include surgical room supplies, pulse oximeters, blood pressure machines, wound dressing supplies and thermometers.
Dr. Beasnael hails from Chad is fluent in five languages and has lived in several countries around the world. Her education and upbringing paired with her private education have produced a cultured and well-rounded individual. Dr. Beasnael says of her upbringing “Service is all I know. Growing up I just thought you help everybody because that is what you’re supposed to do.I was groomed to be in the diplomatic field but also in the service industry.”
In addition to the many titles bestowed upon her she is also a recovery nurse. Additionally, she is the founder of N and M Cosmetics and the “We Are Not The Same Show”. She previously had a show entitled, “The Nathalie B Show” and is a recurring host on a local talk show. Dr. Beasnael has also been featured in three films, dabbled in voice overwork and served as a host on the red carpet on multiple occasions. Her father was a diplomat in Ghana and later relocated to the United States to become a pastor, while her mother was employed as a nurse. She later realized that there are several avenues in which to assist a community. Dr. Beasnael embodies a true humanitarian and philanthropic energy that has made great changes and continues to inspire others.
