‘Mojave Meditations’ on Sunday

The Antelope Valley is home to many artistic attractions. Residents can enjoy naturalistic art at the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center, Prime Desert Woodland Preserve.
The Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve will showcase the thought-provoking artwork of Chloe Allred. Allred is the artist-in-residence at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve. The Mohave Meditations Exhibition will take place on Sunday, July 28, at 10 a.m. The address is 43201 35th St West in Lancaster.
Chloe Allred is a painter, writer and educator based in the Yucca Valley. Her work focuses on the preservation of natural spaces and access to nature. Allred’s artwork consists of oil paintings, linoleum blocks and intaglio prints. Allred’s work draws inspiration from flora, fauna, animal bones,taxidermy found from the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center. Allred considers the preservation and health of the environment an important issue.
