The Range Projects Gallery in South Los Angeles has announced a new exhibit entitled “The Landscape is The Body, The Body is a Landscape”. The exhibition is scheduled to debut today.
The Range Projects Gallery is located at 3718 W. Slauson Ave. in Los Angeles.
The artwork illustrates the connection between people’s bodies and their environment. The work also demonstrates the sacred nature of the physical body and how it relates to the landscape in which it inhabits. The exhibition can be described as a “love story” between the body and their landscapes, reminding observers how they’re uniquely intertwined, creating blurred lines. The opening reception will feature artwork by Lansie Howard, Khali Turner, Dallin Moe, Lauren Pierce and Sowemimo David.
Range Projects Gallery explores the boundaries of artistic expression and celebrates the curated collection of contemporary artwork that push the limits and define artistic landscapes. The gallery is founded by seasoned educator and artist Lind Jo Russell, and guided by the passionate activism of Executive Director, Julie Smith. Range Gallery emerges as a beacon of artistic exploration in the heart of South Los Angeles. Gallery showings will extend through Aug. 24, every Friday and Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.
