A woman was killed in a multiple-vehicle collision in Lancaster.
The crash was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at 10:24 p.m. on June 9 on East Avenue J just east of 255th Street East, Officer Erik Larsen told City News Service.
The person who phoned the CHP told dispatchers the injured woman was a passenger. One of the vehicles was a black Toyota sedan and another vehicle may have driven away from the scene. A third vehicle was found about 300 feet from the roadway with a broken out rear window and the ignition punched out, leading officers to believe it may have been stolen and abandoned.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene at 11:06 p.m., Larsen said.
