‘VETDAYLA’23’

Los Angeles County will host a Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 11 at the historic Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, 1816 S. Figueroa St., in Los Angeles. The event, named “VETDAYLA’23,” will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will offer a range of activities emphasizing not only recognition but also the support of veterans.

The event details, as outlined by the Internal Services Department of Los Angeles County, include a block party, celebrity army vs. navy basketball game, resource fair, food and games.

VETDAYLA’23 features support of “Delete The Divide,” an organization focused on minimizing the digital divide by offering information on free online IT courses, internship programs, community broadband networks, and the Affordable Connectivity Program.

This is a demonstration of the drive’s intent to assist veterans in their transition to tech-based careers, and enabling them to remain connected in today’s digital age, according to the Internal Services Department of Los Angeles County.
