Top-charting talents such as Nicki Minaj, City Girls and Saweetie all took the stage to perform their hit songs at hip-hop’s largest festival, Rolling Loud held recently at Hollywood Park Casino.

Rapper and headliner Lil Wayne surprised everyone by introducing Nicki Minaj as the “Queen.” Minaj performed a medley of her fan-favorite songs. She thanked Lil Wayne before a wave of fans sang along to “Bedrock” and “High School.”

Featured women at this year’s Rolling Loud also included City Girls, Saweetie, BKtharula, Ice Spice, Coi Leray, Big Boss Vette, Cam and China, Shenseea, Bia, Gloss Up, Mellow Rackz, Tay Money, Lebra Jolie and more.

With hard rap lyrics, yet still keeping their soft girl looks, the ladies displayed femininity at its finest. Embodying and embracing their womanhood and all of its perks: Hair flowing, feathers, stilettos and makeup in full force.

Rap-duo City Girls, twerked throughout their entire performance. They performed “Act Up”, “Twerkalator”, “Do It”, their new single “Piñata” and more. The crowd went crazy for their  hometown Miami-inspired palm tree set and bright colors.

Coi’s “Players” is currently nationally syndicated on radio.

“Everything happens organically. My sound, my music, my videos, my content, my collabs, everything is organic,” Coi said. “I just live in the moment. I’m blessed.”

Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U)” went viral only last year on Tik Tok and YouTube, leading up to her signing a record deal and booking shows across the country.

Big Boss Vette, whose song “Pretty Girls Walk” has gone viral on social media via TikTok and YouTube, also performed.

“Being a pretty girl doesn’t  just make you pretty. It’s the way you carry yourself, it’s the way you treat people,” she said. “The way you treat your team, the way you treat a janitor and a CEO. For me, I treat them the same.”

California native Saweetie performed with special guest Too $hort to her hit single “Tap In.”

Bktharula brought out Rolling Loud favorite, Ski Mask The Slump God to perform their song “Through 2 U”.

Inglewood-native identical twins Cam and China were also on hand.

“We work very hard at what we do. We’re very critical, we take rap serious, we’re not like those artists trying to be cute or whatever,” they said. “Getting our recognition for rapping and being talented is all we care about.”

To reflect on women’s history in rap and hip-hop, the twins chose their top female rap albums by Missy Elliott and Lil Kim who have helped pave the way for future women rappers.

Rolling Loud made history as the first ever music festival at Hollywood Park Casino Grounds adjacent to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts and Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Rolling Loud Tariq Cherif took the stage to thank the crowd for being smart and safe. Cherif wanted a safe festival and urged everyone to “Back up, back up, back up.” And, “If you see someone fall, help them up. Rolling Loud is a family.”

Women’s history month honors all women and pays tribute to their accomplishments and lifestyle choices. The ladies of Rolling Loud dominated the festival and were the festival’s favorite performances.
