Los Angeles is home to many different monuments and landmarks. One landmark many people don’t know about is the Youtube Theater located at 1011 Stadium Dr., in Inglewood.
The creation of the theater was first announced by then-St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke back in 2015. In 2016 construction began, and it took the place of the newly closed down Hollywood Park Racetrack.
The venue is a 6,000-seat music theater located under the same structure that houses SoFi Stadium, it’s part of the Hollywood Park entertainment complex, a master-planned neighborhood in development.
Youtube opened on Aug. 9, 2021, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and the Mexican rock band Caifanes held the first event at the theater on Sept.4, 2021. The first Esports event was held in late March of this year, with the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Winter Major marking RLCS’s first live event in two years.
The theater now host’s many events ranging from Michelle Obama’s visit here to performances by rapper Jay Shetty. Find the list of events happening at the theater by visiting https://tinyurl.com/mtbnhra8.
