With slightly cooler temperatures expected this weekend, City of Palmdale officials have announced that the Palmdale City Library, 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., is a designated cooling center open to people of all ages.

The library’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The phone number is (661) 267-5600.

Los Angeles County residents and business owners, including people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs, may also call 2-1-1 for emergency preparedness information and other referral services.
