Yet another esteemed Black figure has become a part of the Denver Broncos ownership group, reports ESPN/AfroTech. Lewis Hamilton, auto racing star, is now part of the Walton-Penner, joining Condoleeza Rice and Melody Hobson.

“We’re delighted to welcome seven-time Formula One World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton to our ownership group,” said Walmart heir Rob Walton, lead investor into the NFL team. “He is a champion competitor who knows what it takes to lead a winning team.”

“Excited to join an incredible group of owners and become a part of the Broncos story,” Hamilton said. “Honored to work with a world class team and serve as an example of the value of more diverse leadership across all sports.”
