Metrolink riders can attend a parade in the morning and travel later that day to a fireworks show with the same $10 Holiday Pass. As Metrolink’s Summer of Adventure continues, take advantage of one of the discounted fares Metrolink is providing throughout the summer.

Metrolink encourages everyone to take the train to avoid traffic congestion, save on high gas prices, and to help the Southern California environment.

The $10 Holiday Pass provides unlimited rides throughout the Metrolink system on Independence Day, Monday, July 4. On Saturday and Sunday of the holiday weekend, riders can save on travel with Metrolink’s $10 Weekend Day Pass. Like the Holiday Pass, the $10 Weekend Day Pass provides unlimited rides throughout the system on one weekend day. Both passes can be purchased on the Metrolink Mobile App or at Metrolink Ticket Machines found under “special ticket options.”

Metrolink’s Rail 2 Rail® program with Amtrak, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to travel on Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs at no additional charge, will be suspended from Friday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 5. The program will resume on Wednesday, July 6.

On Independence Day, Metrolink will operate a Saturday schedule. More information on the $10 Holiday Pass can be found at metrolinktrains.com/holidaytickets.

After the holiday weekend, Metrolink’s $15 Summer Day Pass is the weekday option for affordable summer travel. Offered exclusively through Metrolink’s mobile app, weekdays until Friday, Sept. 2, the $15 Summer Day Pass is valid for one day of unlimited travel system wide on the date of purchase.

The $15 Summer Day Pass is a pilot program. Metrolink will evaluate the fare’s success and customer response to determine whether to make the new option a part of the passenger rail’s regular fare structure. More information on the $15 Summer Day Pass can be found at metrolinktrains.com/summer-pass.

As an essential part of the Southern California landscape for 30 years, Metrolink moves people throughout the six-county area to work and school, to important meetings and appointments, and to fun destinations like the beach, local landmarks and amusements. Metrolink will mark its 30-year anniversary on Oct. 26.
