PFC Adrienne L. Mitchell All- American VFW Post 2122 has announced the Christmas Tree Giveaway for 100 veterans and their families upon proof of their Eventbrite registration. Trees will be loaded onto the community members vehicle Saturday, Dec. 18th from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Inglewood Police Community Center Parking Lot.

Inglewood veteran and community organizer Star Manning and VFW Post 2122 Commander Gerry Blake recognizes that service members, veterans, and their families’ budgets are strained and may have a hard time buying a Christmas Tree and presents this year. The Pull-Up tree giveaway is one way to show appreciation for military families and their sacrifices made year-round.

“Inglewood Veterans need to know that they have a post that is here for them and their families,” said Manning. “No pandemic will stop us from serving veterans and our community.” VFW Post 2122 is a small non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Inglewood’s veterans. It provides emergency assistance to those who have served in – or are still serving in – the finest military in the world according to its Facebook page.

“Our post serves the Inglewood veteran’s community daily, not just for holidays. As a community, we must always remember those that have made the greatest sacrifice.” said Blake.
