WHITTIER (CNS) – A single-vehicle crash in Whittier today left one
person dead and five other people injured, two critically, police said.
The crash was reported in the 8400 block of Villaverde Drive at about
11:20 a.m., said Whittier police Officer John Scoggins.
An SUV occupied by six people overturned, Scoggins said. Information was
not immediately available on the ages and genders of the victims. Traffic was
routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted into the cause
of the crash.
