The Palmdale Amphitheater summer concert series celebrates its ninth season with a new lineup and ticket pricing.

“For only $35, you can get a season pass for all four headline concerts at the beautiful Palmdale Amphitheater,” said Palmdale’s communications manager. “Combine that with free parking, and you’ve got a summer concert deal that’s second to none.”

Individual concert tickets are only $10. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $20, which includes express entry and seating at the front of the stage.

The music begins on Saturday, July 6, with Morris Day and The Time. Day played an essential role in the development of the Twin City dance club sound of the 1980s. A founding member of Prince’s band, The Time, he remained with the group until 1984, when he launched his solo career. Returning in 1988, he performed and recorded with The Time from 1990-91, and since 1995.

On Saturday, July 13, Clay Walker brings country to town with his chart-topping hits, “What’s It to You,” “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make Living,” “This Woman and This Man,” and “Rumor Has It.” Walker, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a decade ago, is one of the most successful country performers of the past 10 years, and has scored four platinum-selling albums and two gold albums.

Classic rockers Blue Öyster Cult take the stage on Saturday, July 20. Nicknamed ‘the American Black Sabbath,’ BÖC released their self-titled debut album in 1972. Over the years the band has released 14 studio albums, six live albums, seven compilation albums and nine charted singles, including “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper,” “In Thee,” “Burnin’ for You,” “Joan Crawford,” “Roadhouse Blues,” “Take Me Away,” “Shooting Shark,” “Dancin’ in the Ruins” and “Astronomy.”

The series closes with a performance by Jazz/Rock legends Blood, Sweat & Tears on Saturday, July 27. Over the years the group has released 11 studio albums, four live and five compilation albums which produced hits such as “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel,” “And When I Die,” “God Bless the Child,” “Got to Get You Into My Life,” “Hi-De-Ho,” and “Lucretia MacEvil.” They’ve also garnered awards for two No. 1 albums, a No. 1 single, a Grammy, Album of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, the Playboy Reader’s Poll Award, and RIAA certified multi-platinum sales of more than 4 million copies sold.

Tickets are available at Season passes and individual concert tickets are available at the recreation and culture office, located at 38260 10th St. East, Palmdale, open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets will also be available the day of the concerts on a cash-only basis.
