Local watchdog group solicits tips on bad sheriff’s deputies
After California’s 2nd District Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold a lower court’s injunction blocking Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell from releasing a list of 300 deputies’ names with a history of misconduct to prosecutors, local watchdog group Dignity and Power Now (DPN) is soliciting tops from the public on bad sheriff’s deputies who are still on the job.

In the span of one week, two Black women were viciously demoralized and exploited on social media.
One person got caught up in his feelings and used his White privilege to publicly shame his baby momma while the other exploited a drug addiction and mental state for hood glory. And like a bad car accident that it hurts to look at—America couldn’t turn away.
IHOP manager: Black people don’t want to work
That’s what I was told by a manager at a South Los Angeles IHOP restaurant, after I inquired about the lack of African Americans working there during a recent visit.
It all started after I casually observed—while waiting on a friend to arrive—that there were no Black employees on the floor or in the kitchen working. That prompted me to ask my server if this IHOP—located in the heart of South Los Angeles—had any African American employees. I was told yes—two.
