To celebrate Day 3 of the NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers will host a special “doggy draft” at DOG PPL(3440 Ocean Park Blvd), a membership-based canine social club in Santa Monica. On Saturday, April 26, from 11 am- 4 pm, the event, supported by Hyundai, will feature over 25 adoptable dogs from Pasadena Humane, LA Animal Services, and LA County Animal Care & Control – organizations that were significantly impacted by the recent LA wildfires.
In addition to adopting their own fur-st round draft pick, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to receive autographs from Chargers WR Ladd McConkey, CB Elijah Molden, TE Tyler Conklin, CB Tarheeb Still, and meet the team’s first-round draft pick and get the latest Chargers merchandise. Throughout the day, fans will also be treated to live coverage of Day 3 of the NFL Draft, culinary offerings from local food trucks, tailgate-themed field games, and complimentary airbrush art.
The Chargers will also sell an exclusive t-shirt featuring the team’s service dog in training, Storm, with all proceeds benefitting ongoing wildfire relief efforts.
This event is open to Chargers Season Ticket Members who preregister to attend, The Chargers are also opening limited general admission spots to the public for the free event to help ensure all dogs at the event find their forever homes. GA admission to the event is on a first-come, first-served basis.
