The City of Carson held an event to honor and present a Key to The City to musician Apl.de. Ap, a founding member of the Grammy-winning group Black Eyed Peas. This event recognized Apl.de.Ap’s contributions to music, philanthropy and his dedication to the Filipino-American community.
The event took place on Oct. 1 at Carson City Hall. Carson Mayor Lula Davis- Holmes, members of the Carson City Council and community leaders were in attendance.
The ceremony recognized the achievements and impacts the Filipino-American community has made to the Carson community. The event will feature remarks from city officials, a performance by local artists and a special address by Apl.de.Ap.
