A 34-year-old man shot to death in Palmdale has been identified as Frank Fuentes, a Palmdale resident, according to the coroner’s office.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded about 10 a.m. Jan. 21 to a home in the 4100 Block of East Avenue Q-14 to a domestic violence call and found the victim lying unresponsive in the driveway with apparent gunshot wounds, according to the department’s Deputy Alejandra Parra. Fuentes died at the scene.

Investigators learned the man was driving past the home, where his ex-girlfriend lived, and saw 35-year-old Rudy Anthony Rodriguez, Jr. sitting in a parked car in the driveway.

The victim approached Rodriguez and ”an argument, then physical fight, ensued in the driveway,” Parra said. “Rodriguez drew a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.”

Rodriguez reentered his vehicle and allegedly fled the scene eastbound on Avenue Q-14. The car was found abandoned a few miles away from the residence where the shooting occurred.

At press time, Rodriguez was considered to be armed and dangerous, according to authorities. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to contact the LASD Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
