2021 marks the 50th annual YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles Brotherhood Celebration Breakfast celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and the movement for social justice and equality that still continues today. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation join as partners to bring this special event to Angelenos via a live streamed multi-media event on January 15 at 9 a.m. Register to join in the free celebration at YMCALA.ORG/MLKCelebration.
The 2021 honorees include Brotherhood Award recipient Dave Roberts, manager, LA Dodgers and Human Dignity Award recipient Sharon Robinson, vice-chair, Jackie Robinson Foundation. Stedman Graham, CEO S. Graham and Associates, is the keynote speaker.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will be live streamed from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in downtown Los Angeles.
“The Martin Luther King, Jr. Brotherhood Celebration Breakfast is a Los Angeles institution, and I’m honored to receive the Brotherhood Award and share the stage with two dear friends and community leaders – Sharon Robinson and Stedman Graham,” said Roberts. “I’ve long admired The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles’ mission and impact, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to join them in celebrating Dr. King’s legacy in our community and beyond.”
