Kaiser Permanente and Target Corp. have opened a new Kaiser Permanente-staffed retail health clinic in Inglewood that offers convenient care to members and non-members.

The new Target Clinic, located at 3471 W. Century Blvd., opened on Feb. 3. Patients can schedule an appointment online at www.kptargetclinic.org or walk-in when there is availability.

“We are excited to collaborate with Target Corp. in expanding our Kaiser Permanente presence within the Inglewood community,” said Dr. Kirk Tamaddon, area medical director and chief of staff, Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center. “Our new Target Clinic reflects Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to exploring innovative ways to increase health care access in communities where we live and serve.”

There are now 11 Target Clinics affiliated with Kaiser Permanente serving residents in LA County, and 26 across Southern California. Other Target Clinics in LA County are located in Compton, Hawthorne, Pico Rivera, West Covina, Rosemead, Eagle Rock, Burbank, Northridge, Westlake Village, and Santa Clarita. The clinics are located inside Target stores.

All Target Clinics are open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. The clinics are closed daily from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s largest integrated health system, is staffing the new clinic in Inglewood with courteous medical professionals who include licensed nurse practitioners and licensed vocational nurses. The clinic also features physicians available via telemedicine consultations, giving Target guests and members of the community additional access to Kaiser Permanente’s health care services.

“When guests walk into one of our Target Clinics, they can expect to receive patient-centered health care in a convenient, friendly and familiar setting,” Tamaddon said.

The new clinic will offer an array of primary care services, including flu shots, physicals, allergy relief, TB tests and wellness check-ups for children and adults. Also offered are basic dermatology services, as well as vaccinations and treatment for some illnesses including strep throat, sinus pain, ear aches, asthma and cold and flu.

Target Clinics accept a broad range of health insurance plans, as well as major credit, debit and Health Savings Account cards.
